Back-to-School Workshops 2010

Participants will learn how to support Early Brain Development, Early Literacy, and the needs of all children while incorporating the vocabulary of American Sign Language (ASL) into their daily routines and literacy activities.

The Back-to-School Workshops are based on a combination of theoretical and practical ideologies and participants will learn signs from American Sign Language that they can use the next day in their classroom.  

 

Session I         Back to School, Setting the Stage using ASL                  August 7th, 9:00 – 11:00 a.m.
Session II        Using ASL for Positive Guidance                                   August 7th, 1:00 – 3:00 p.m.
Session III       Incorporating ASL into Literacy                                    August 21st, 9:00 – 11:00 a.m.
Session IV       Using ASL to Support Children with Special Needs          August 21st, 1:00 – 3:00 p.m.
